A Crush On Yesterday

Hi everyone, I'm Chris and I am a singer/songwriter originally coming from Germany but now residing in London, UK. I called this project "A Crush On Yesterday" not only to avoid people turning their heads and asking me "what, what was your name again?", but also because it stands for something that defines the music. The name is inspired by the bittersweet feeling of passing through time, events and relationships. It stands for everything you've experienced and everything you want to hold onto, but can't.

The name is inspired by the bittersweet feeling of passing through time, events and relationships. It stands for everything you've experienced and everything you want to hold onto, but can't. I have been in bands for years and love playing guitar.

Been going through quite a musical transformation two years ago. I used to be the singer and guitarist for the german hardcore band "Gravity Grows Wings" (ex Blooms of Vanity). Hands down, this was the best time of my life. I don't regret a single thing.

Despite all that I always had songs I could never use. "A Crush On Yesterday" gives me the opportunity to exactly do that. I have recently had the pleasure to share stages with artists such as Beth Hart [USA] and Snailhouse [CAN]. This past summer I went on my first US tour visiting cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston.

After releasing my first album "Between Reality and Insanity" in 2009 and having the song "Rewrite this path" featured on national tv in Germany, my new EP "Strong On The Surface" came out in August 2010 (amazon, itunes, napster). In October 2010 I moved to London to study Music Business at the SAE Institute. London is such an inspiring city and I feel that this is the right place and time for me to take this to the next level. Join me on my journey.
